They are where you focus your attention to grab the big sales plays - where the money is made.

And these people are vital for you.

Yet what keeps them with you? What makes them happy enough to stay?

You see the value people extract from being your employees is not just about the money they take home, it's about them actually being able to take it home.

How would it be if a high flying sales person; or a top manager; or a serious solution finder got paid well, yet never got their rewards on time?

These people are very important to you and it's critical to remember that if your back up staff - those in the not so sexy roles - aren't looked after as well, the problems will pile up sometimes uncontrollably.

Whilst it might seem a disaster if your key sales person left, if you try to run your catering facilities without the expert who makes it run smoothly, you might just lose ALL your top sales people, when they can't get their morning double shot latte and almond croissant.
