'Eight One-Liners' - January 2005

January 2005

Eight One-Liners
from Coaching Businesses to Success

Dear Friend,

Welcome!

Thank you for waiting, for the inaugural copy of the new 'Eight One-Liners' Monthly Newsletter, from Coaching Businesses to Success. I am delighted to be here! Some of you will already be aware of newsletters from me - the increasingly popular 'Weekly Management Tips' from Fast Track Development and the monthly one from TPDCoaching.com/martinhaworth.com, which this one replaces. In all, we send out around 900 newsletters a month and growing.

This one replaces my monthly one and I promise will be even more fun, topical and a source of developmental learning for you and if you care to share, all the people who work with and for you.

It is from a deep desire to be...

'...helping you, to help your people, to help your business grow...'

...that the new website is gradually taking shape. It comes with over eighty pages (and growing) of free content and literally thousands of hints, tips, ideas and articles to help you. There is no doubt that if you take the tools to heart, you will be an absolutely excellent manager of people and your success; their success and the success of your business will be guaranteed.

Each month there will be three articles for you to read - this time by me and published on the internet. To date my articles have been read by over 1200 people who have gained from their publication. More will follow with a target of over 200 article publications by the end of 2005 and a readership of over 20,000. Readers of this newsletter will be first in line to receive information about these.

So what's all this about Eight One-Liners then, I hear you ask?

Well, each month I am going to offer you eight questions. Each question will ask you to dig deep and work out reasons, ideas, challenges and ultimately solutions to issues you face, day-to-day in your business.

There will be more, much more to come, both in the newsletter and on the website. The questions will be cumulative and generative - if you work a little on them, you will definitely grow as well.

I look forward to your feedback for future issues.

I hope you enjoy this journey with me!

This Month's Articles

...three from the Article Bank...
Building Shareholder Value Through Your People

By using your best asset, your people, really well, it helps you and your shareholders benefit. Your people have wonderful skills and leveraging this is what makes good businesses truly great. Click here for more...

Why I Always Keep My Promises

It's a small thing, but it is important. In your business, forgetting little things promised causes erosion of trust and belief in you. And ultimately, those little things add up to a lot for your people. And that affects you and ultimately your business success. Click here for more...

Procrastination and JDI

Getting better information makes for the more correct decisions. Yet the fear of 'getting it wrong' sometimes means that we use collating information and all sorts of other seemingly completely valid tactics as a good excuse for being slow to decide. Click here for more...

Eight One-Liners

...to get your brain juices flowing...
These are questions related to the Eight Key Steps which can be found on the home page of the website. The titles are pretty much as you see here and there are about 40 special areas related to the Eight Key Steps.

With me so far :-)?

Anytime there might be some help for you, there will be a link by the question and there are links to each of the steps - just click them and off you go! If you get 'text' newsletters, then the links may look a bit untidy - so be forgiving and play with the links a bit!

OK then - here we go!

Why don't you get the answers? Because it will spoil the fun, challenge and long-term development you'll get thinking the questions through or working on it with your team! See it as a little course, where you get the next questions, next month. Hey, this is coaching, so you work out your own answers - OK? I promise, you do have it in you!
